PACTF2019 Feedback Survey!
Hello everyone! PACTF2019 has come to a close, and we are interested in hearing your feedback. Please follow the link and fill out the survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7Y3Y7PL). We want to make PACTF2020 better, and for that, we would really appreciate all of your feedback. Thank you!
Who Hacked Me? Clarified
Who Hacked Me? has been clarified and reworked slightly. Existing teams should make sure to look at the problem again and redownload the file. Again, sorry for the continued inconveniences.
More Updates
Due to some bugs in the system that handles static files, problems thought to be fixed weren’t. They should now all be good.
Who Hacked Me? and Denial of Service Attack Part Two unfortunately had accidental bypasses that solved the challenges in an unintended manner. Although this is obviously not an ideal scenario, we’ve been forced to revoke the solves that teams had for those problems. If those solves were legitimate, redoing them shouldn’t require that much work on the contestants’ parts. Again, we sincerely apologize for all of the issues we’ve experienced. Please direct any concerns you have to us on Discord. Thank you.
We’d also like to commend team “Using the Laptops CTF” for bringing some of these issues to our attention at cost to themselves: that’s the spirit we hope everyone has in PACTF!
Legendary Weapons Updated
After some thought, Legendary Weapons has been updated so that the flag can be entered in both lower-case and upper-case.
Final Rho Updated
Final Rho has been updated due to an unidentified error. Any teams that had prior difficulties solving it should find it significantly more tractable now.
Legendary Weapons Issue
There was an issue with the “Legendary Weapons” problem that had made it unsolvable. All teams that tried certain flags should try them again, as now the problem should accept the correct flag (before, it would reject any submission). We are deeply sorry for this inconvenience.
Issue With Graders
There was an unfortunate issue with the grader files for some of the problems that made them simply accept any answer as correct. This problem has been fixed for now. Unfortunately, this means that any team that incorrectly solved the problem previously has had those points removed, and will need to attempt them again. We are deeply sorry for this inconvenience.
